ISAL presents it's Spring Fest 2016 "TADKA: The Spices of India"
In the 14th century, famous explorers of the time heard of a distant land called India, rich in wonder substances called spices which instantly transformed food with their flavor and taste. It was the lure of these spices which led Vasco Da Gama to India which opened Indian trade to Europe.
These spices have been passed down through generations till today where they have a place of pride in every Indian kitchen and a special place in every food lover’s heart. Every Indian dish is a unique mixture of spices, specific to the region, each blending in harmoniously with the other unleashing a riot of tastes in the mouth. Every spice has an interesting story to tell, a purpose and a secret.
ISAL welcomes you on a journey to unlocking the secrets of the spices at it’s 2016 Springfest, “TADKA: The spices of India” in Leuven. We promise a feast to all your senses through cultural performances rich in Indian dance and music.
The perfect epilogue to this aromatic performance is the beautiful spread of Indian dinner with it’s perfect blend of spices. Top your evening off with the beats of Bollywood music played by our very own DJ.
