Keukenhof is the largest and most famous flower park in the world, located in Lisse, Netherlands and can be visited on a day trip from Leuven. It is home to more than 7 million flower bulbs that are planted every year. Gardens and four pavilions show a fantastic collection of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids, roses, carnations, irises, lilies and many other flowers. You will be overwhelmed by a spectacle of colors and perfumes. The day with us offers you the blooming Dutch tulip fields around Keukenhof on a bike or boat ride. This scintillating view is a paradise for photography enthusiasts.

This year, we will make your travel even more memorable by visiting the fabulous traditional Dutch countryside and windmills. Zaanse Schans, an 18th-century picturesque windmill village on the banks of River Zaan, packs your visit with its typical Dutch green-timbered houses and warehouses. Here you can visit working windmills, bakery museum, clogs workshop, and cheese factory. Zaanse Schans is a most visited attraction from Amsterdam.

- For attendees with children, as per law, a child should be given a full seat. If your child needs "Autostoel" (baby car seat), then please bring your own. Autostoel is not provided. The baby strollers can be stored in the coach trunk.

VISIT INFORMATION
Our trip begins at Zaanse Schans. We will be halting there for about 1.5 hours. You are free to explore the place at your own pace. Some of the activities that we recommend are
Next we visit the Tulip Gardens at Keukenhof.
- Visit some of the oldest working windmills, some dating back to 18th century.
- Take a stroll into the wooden shoe workshop and museum to experience a part of Dutch history.
- You may attend a professional demonstration of cheese making at the cheese farm De Catherina Hoeve for free with an opportunity to taste the final products.
- There are various museums, first Albert Heijn grocery store that was opened in Zaanse Schans and much more.
Next we visit the Tulip Gardens at Keukenhof.
- The park entrance ticket and map will be provided on boarding the bus. The map will guide you to the various flower exhibitions and displays. The park has several restaurants or cafeteria to choose for Lunch. The locations marked on the map will guide you to places to eat. Consult the park map here.
- Cycling in the area - Explore the beautiful, colorful surrounding flower fields on a bicycle! Outside the park near the main entrance, Keukenhof hires out women's, men's and children's bicycles and even tandems. They have prepared four different signposted routes for you, with distances ranging from 5 km to 25 km. The bicycle company provides more details and map for the flower fields while renting the bicycle. The bicycle rent is NOT included in the ISAL trip ticket price. - Whisper boat trips around Keukenhof : Relax as you enjoy the peace and quiet of the endless bulb fields around Keukenhof in an electrically-propelled whisper boat. These boats travel through the beautiful Dutch flower bulb landscape in virtual silence. The boat trip takes 45 minutes. Spectacular photos are guaranteed! At the mill in the park, you can buy tickets for boat trips on the day of purchase. This activity is NOT included in the ISAL trip ticket price. Participants are free to explore at their choice.
