ISAL presents “Picturesque Paris 2017”
Prepare for a memorable day out on Saturday, 07 October
How do we introduce Paris? Words fail to do justice to the beauty of La Ville Lumière, or, the city of light. Almost everyone has dreamt about visiting Paris at least once in their lifetime. Starting from the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre Museum to hidden gems like the Catacombs, Paris is a treasure trove for first time visitors but always has something unexplored to offer to returning visitors.
However, did you know about the Paris syndrome? It is a state of extreme shock sometimes observed in tourists visiting Paris, as a result of their discovery that Paris is not what they had expected it to be. Indeed, Paris can appear to be too overwhelming or thoroughly underwhelming if you don't know your way around this magical city and its people. That is why, on 07 October, 2017, we invite you to join us on our day trip to Paris and leave it to us to ensure that your day in Paris is a memorable experience that you will cherish forever.
Join us on a walking tour through the heart of the city, overlooking the Notre-Dame de Paris, the Louvre Museum and the gardens of Place de la Concorde and end the day with a visit to the stunning Eiffel Tower during sunset. In between, enjoy the best of French cuisine and a river cruise on the Seine.
Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy a day in the city of love. We look forward to welcoming you on board!

VISIT INFORMATION
- The handy guide and map will be provided on boarding the bus. The map will guide you regarding the locations of various attractions around Paris. The handy guide will also contain suggested itineraries so that you can make the most of your time in Paris.
- For the on-board city tour, we will drive around some of the main attractions in Paris (Eiffel Tower, Trocadero, Arc de Triomphe, Avenue de Champs Elysees, Les Invalides, etc.) between 10:45 Hrs and 11:45 Hrs. Be ready with the cameras!
- The walking tour of Paris is included in the price for the trip. It will cover sights like the Notre Dame, the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde. The tour will be conducted in English by tour guides from Sandeman’s New Europe Tours. Conducting walking tours in 18 cities across Europe, the Middle East and USA since 2003, New Europe Tours are the pioneers of the free walking tour concept in Europe. You can check out their other walking tours here. We recommend their Latin Quarter tour for an overview of the history of art and literature in Paris.
- Tickets to the Eiffel Tower are not included in the price for the trip. The tickets cost 17 Euros for all levels including the top and 11 Euros for the middle levels. There are discounts available for young adults (up to 24 years) and children. We strongly recommend booking tickets in advance online here as the queues for the ticket counter can be very crowded during the weekends. The best time to visit the tower is probably during sunset, as this affords spectacular views of the city and you can directly come to the departure point afterwards. If you want to save some time at the Eiffel Tower, you can also walk up the stairs till second floor enjoying the view along the way and then take the elevator to the top.
- The Louvre Museum also boasts one of the most crowded ticket offices in Paris, so we strongly recommend booking tickets in advance here. However you may not need a ticket since the museum allows free entry without a ticket for under-18s and European residents aged 18-25. Please note that the Louvre Museum is huge. A fast track visit of the major attractions of the museum takes around 1.5 hours.
- The best way around Paris is via the well-connected Paris metro. There are metro stations near every major tourist attraction.
