VISIT INFORMATION
We will begin by exploring Cathedral Christmas market standing in front of the impressive backdrop of Cologne's cathedral. This market has the largest Christmas tree in the Rhineland with 150 attractively designed wooden pavilions.
The Altstadt (Old Town) Christmas Market is in front of the Old Cologne Town Hall close to the Cathedral. The house gnomes will be opening their traditional Christmas market in the heart of Cologne’s old town.
Further, to explore festive Cologne with maritime flavour, we will visit Harbour Christmas Market located at the Chocolate Museum. In a picturesque setting overlooking the Rhine, the Cologne Harbour Christmas market brings an incredible view of Rhine river with surrounding lights and decorations.
We will have enough time in Cologne to explore the city too! We would recommend booking a guided tour of Cologne in advance. We recommend Freewalk Cologne. Their free walking tour of Cologne starts everyday at 12:11 Hrs from near the Central Station. Please note that although this is a free tour, booking in advance is necessary to guarantee availablity.
Please be informed that this is not a guided tour of the mentioned destinations, so the participants are free to explore at their own pace.
