AMAZING AMSTERDAM 2019
A day out to Amsterdam on Saturday, 19 OCTOBER 2019

Starting out as a quintessential fishing village in the 13th century, the journey of Amsterdam to become one of the world’s leading centers for commerce and culture is nothing but spectacular. The city has been home for various renowned people including Anne Frank, Vincent van Gogh, many culturally significant museums, historical sights, world’s oldest stock exchange and much more. Get lost in the maze of 17th-century canals which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
 Participation Information

​The event is open to everyone regardless of their background. Since the inception of ISAL trips, student and non-students from diverse background and nationalities have participated in our events, creating an ideal platform for the interaction and building new friends amidst fun-filled travel experience.

06:45 Hrs : Departure from Parking Bodart, Veilingweg, Leuven (map)
06:55 Hrs : Departure from Diestsepoort, Leuven station (map)
 
10:00 Hrs : Estimated arrival time at Amsterdam
10:30 Hrs - 11:30 Hrs : Canal cruise from Damrak, Amsterdam
11:30 Hrs - 19:00 Hrs : Free time to explore the city
 
19:00 Hrs : Estimated departure from Amsterdam
22:15 Hrs : Estimated arrival in Leuven (Parking Bodart and Diestsepoort)
 
Prices: 
Student                      : 29 Euro
Non-student              : 33 Euro
Kids (0-3 yrs)              : 22 Euro
 
Price includes:
  • Return trip by private coach from Leuven
  • Canal cruise at Amsterdam
  • Light snacks on the bus

Coach information:
  • The coach includes AC, WC, and DVD facilities.
  • For attendees with children, as per law, a child should be given a full seat. If your child needs Autostoel (baby car seat), then bring your own.  Autostoel is not provided. The baby strollers can be stored in the coach trunk.

Important:
All non-EU citizens must bring their passport and permit (valid visa or residence card).  All EU citizens must bring their identity card. The border officials might ask to check. ​Newly arrived non-EU students who are yet to receive their residence card can join the trip if their Belgium/Schengen visa is valid for the date.
