Diwali 2007

Dear friends,

This year the festival of lights, Diwali, is back with a bang! The burning glow of candles, the crackling sounds of fireworks and the glorious burst of crackers are a yearly reminder that:

In the early months of winter
when the nights grow cold and boring
the Diwali lights burn always bright
to send our hearts soaring
the skies dance with flames of sparklers
bursting here and there
while children laugh and point towards
the magic in the air !

We, the Indian Students’ Association of Leuven (ISAL), are delighted to organise this event and cordially invite you to celebrate Diwali with us:

Date: Saturday, November 10, 2007
Time: 19:00 onwards (7:00 p.m.)
Venue: Holy Spirit College, Naamsestraat 40, B-3000, Leuven
Entrance fee: 5 euros

In order to make the event successful we request you to kindly register prior to the event by contacting ISAL and mention the number of people who will attend the event. You can do it by simply sending an e-mail to info@isal.be.

Any suggestions and sponsorships are most welcome.

As always, elections for the forth coming committee (year 2007-2008) will be conducted at this event. People who are willing to offer their services for the different committee positions can also contact us earlier and send a mail to all the members. The elections are for the following positions:

  1. President
  2. Vice-President
  3. Secretary
  4. Treasurer
  5. Webmaster
  6. Public representative 1
  7. Public representative 2
